  • Ignoring issues or bad behaviour.
  • Showing insincerity, gossiping and back biting.

'In working together we achieve more'

  • We put the children at the heart of what we do.
  • We have common sense, purpose and a shared vision.
  • We communicate and cooperate, sharing best practice, skills, information and ideas.

Examples of what we want to see:

  • We welcome and value the contributions made by everyone as crucial to the success of the school.
  • We support each other.
  • We see asking for help as a strength.
  • We welcome new team members.

Examples of what we do not want to see:

  • Leave people isolated, not included, unsupported and not part of the team.
  • Make decisions that affect others without consulting them in the process.
  • Blame others.
  • Fail to engage, join in or be part of the team.

'We take responsibility to make things happen'

  • We have clear responsibilities and deliver what is expected of us.
  • We take personal accountability for seeing things through.
  • We empower leaders at all levels to make decisions.

Examples of what we want to see:

  • When we take on tasks, we take responsibility for making sure they are completed.
  • We learn from our mistakes, reviewing when something goes wrong and taking steps to make sure it does not happen again.
  • We problem solve and think longer term.
  • We review and challenge outmoded processes, updating our skills regularly.
  • We identify clear responsibilities, set realistic objectives.

Examples of what we don't want to see:

  • Passing problems on to someone else if it's our responsibility.
  • Blaming others, finding fault or moaning without doing anything to improve things.
  • Expecting that someone else will do it.
  • Ignoring others views and being blinkered in thinking that your idea is the only one which will work.

'We love what we do and we do what we love'

  • We create an environment where learning is a fun and rewarding experience.
  • We create magical moments and pockets full of memories.
  • We aim to inspire learners giving them the skills they need to succeed.

Examples of what we want to see:

  • We have a school improvement plan which excites us and gives us the opportunity to learn and grow.
  • Embracing new opportunities and celebrate success.

Examples of what we do not want to see:

  • An 'I don't care' attitude.
  • A lack luster approach.
  • A regimented silent culture where it is unacceptable to speak.
  • Only finding fault and presenting obstacles without any ideas for improvement.
